Paiges: Oct 2025
edition 01 of Paiges by Ashley Paige, my new monthly newsletter.
There’s something about October that feels like magic to me. The air softens into crisp mornings, evenings beg for scented candles, and the world seems to move a little slower. It’s the month where cozy rituals return—baking, layering sweaters, reading by candlelight—and everything feels both comforting and new at once. For that reason, October is my favorite month.
I’ve always thought of October as the sweet spot: summer has faded, but the holiday rush hasn’t quite arrived. It’s a moment to pause, savor, and reset. In this issue, I’ve gathered the fashion, recipes, and little inspirations that make this season feel so special. I hope it inspires you to find your own rituals and joys this month.
Here’s to a beautiful October! x

Fashion Trends I’m Loving This Fall
Funnel neck jackets & high collars – Crisp, fall mornings call for elevated outerwear. Funnel necks and high collars are everywhere, instantly making even a simple outfit feel fresh and polished. Linking a few (both high and low!) I have my eye on.
Zara 100% Leather Bomber Jacket, Zara Minimal Short Trench, Chloé Double Breasted Trench, COS Oversized Wool Long Coat, Topshop Zip Up Funnel Neck Sweater
East-west bags – The season’s “it” bag is wider than tall—perfect for carrying your essentials while looking effortlessly chic on coffee runs or weekend strolls.
AQUA East West Suede Belted Bag, Prada Bonnie Medium Handbag, COACH Empire Leather Carryall Bag 34
Romantic lace & sheer overlays – I love a little romance with edge—delicate lace or sheer layers are showing up everywhere, perfect for layering under a cozy sweater or a fitted leather jacket (I linked my fave leather jacket— it’s a splurge but the shape is incredible).
DOEN Valeria Lace & Silk Minidress, DOEN Iona Short, Reformation Carolina Silk Skirt, J. Crew Lace Boatneck Top, Amazon Women Satin Lace Trim Shorts , SEI Leather Jacket, SIR Willa Lace-Trimmed Cutout Silk Maxi Dress
What’s Cooking in my Kitchen
Cooking with the seasons is one of my favorite rituals—fall brings cozy flavors like pumpkin, squash, sage, and cinnamon that instantly make the kitchen feel alive. Here are a few faves (including 3 Substack exclusives!)
Recent Beauty Additions
After pulling together fashion inspiration, I found myself on Sephora (as one does 🤪) making a fall order. Fall always makes me want to switch things up—deeper lip colors, richer textures, and little beauty staples that make getting ready feel special. I treat my makeup bag the same way I treat my wardrobe: a few thoughtful updates that make everything feel new again.
Here’s what I picked up—I’ll report back once I’ve had time to test them all.
I had to grab the pumpkin pie scent… it just feels so cozy for fall. I use this every night anyway, so it’s a fun way to make my routine feel a little seasonal.
MAKEUP BY MARIO Ethereal Eyes Palette (Nature)
Dreamy yet practical—neutrals, shimmer, and just enough depth to do it all. That olive glitter is callllling my name.
m.ph by Mary Phillips The Overliner (Skinny Dip)
The lip liner everyone’s been raving about—finally figured it was time to try it myself.
NEST Pumpkin Chai Candle
Pumpkin spice, but elevated—warm, cozy, and a little indulgent. I don’t like when candles are too sweet and this one is perfect!
Jo Malone London Ginger Biscuit Cologne
Warm and spicy but still soft—basically October in a bottle. I bought it last year, but you know I lost my whole perfume collection. SO, SO excited to own this again.
Starting my holiday shopping early with this one. It’s such an easy gift to have on hand (and honestly I kind of want to keep it for myself).
Shiseido Eyelash Curler
When I asked for lash curler recs from you guys, this was the #1 pick! Hoping it helps me look more awake as we head into Daylight Savings Time (whose idea was that anyway?).
NARS Afterglow Lip Shine Gloss (Chelsea Girls)
The prettiest neutral pink—easy, glossy, and goes with everything.
MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Seal
A sweet DM from someone in this community told me this makes any liner waterproof and smudge-proof. Excited to try it out for long nights out…and dates (honestly, we might need a whole Substack just for that).
And that’s a wrap on the very first edition of Paiges! Thanks for hanging out with me here—I’m so excited to have this little space together. P.S. I rounded up all products mentioned in this link for ease.
Let me know what you’d love to see in my future monthly issues (more recipes, beauty finds, fashion inspo, routines, anything!). Can’t wait to hear your thoughts and I’ll see you in the next one 🤎 x -Ash
